At Shriners Hospitals for Children—Cincinnati, the health and safety of our patients, families, volunteers and staff is our top priority. With the rapidly evolving situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), we are closely monitoring updates and alerts from local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and are actively following their recommendations.

Families that have been approved to come to the hospital are asked to arrive with ONLY ONE parent or guardian and no additional family members or guests. All patients and visitors will be screened by a healthcare provider when entering hospital.

Santa made a special stop at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati

(CINCINNATI; December 24, 2015) – Santa made an early visit to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Cincinnati that brought joy and smiles to patients and their families on Christmas Eve.

Santa surprised patients and families alike when he suddenly appeared during a special Christmas Eve lunch at the hospital. All of the children (including patients and their siblings) received gifts, including toys and games. Families also received special gift bags.

“It’s never a happy time to be in the hospital, especially over the holidays. We do everything we can to make our patients’ stay here the best possible and let the children be children,” said Cindy DeSerna, Manager, Care Management, Cincinnati Shriners Hospital. “We want to put smiles on everyone’s face. Thanks to our generous donors we are able to go above and beyond.”
