Cincinnati Receives Renewed Burn Center Verification

(CINCINNATI; December 3, 2015) – Shriners Hospital for Children – Cincinnati receives renewed burn center verification by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons American Burn Association.

Burn center verification provides a true mark of distinction for a burn center and is an indicator to the government, patients and their families, and accreditation organizations that the center provides high quality patient care to burn patients from the time of injury through rehabilitation.

“Continuing to be a verified burn center shows our on-going commitment to our patients,” said Mark Shugarman, Shriners Hospital for Children – Cincinnati Administrator. “We have an outstanding team of people working here who provide the highest quality care available, and not just for burns. We also specialize in cleft lip and palate, complex wound and skin conditions, and plastic andreconstructive surgery.”

To achieve verification, Shriners Hospital for Children – Cincinnati met rigorous standards for organizational structure, personnel qualifications, facilities resources and medical care services. The verification highlights high quality patient care for burn patients from time of injury through rehabilitation.
